As children we always loved the great outdoors! Snakes, as well as other reptiles, have always been an intricate part of our lives. We grew up playing with garden snakes and such. Snakes have always intrigued us. So owning them now comes natural to us.
Boas are really a unique snake to own. They are calm and docile if handled often. They love to be held and love to just lay on your arm and soak up the warmth. We really enjoy playing with the little ones. They are so cute. When we open the door to their cage, some of them will have their heads sticking out, reminding us of a little kid saying, "can I come out and play now".
It's such fun to take one and let him crawl on your arm and belly. They are so cute!! Our kids love playing with them too. We look at them as one of God's creatures, and we have taken on the responsibility of taking good care of them. If taken care of properly, they will give you many years of good companionship.
We look forward to expanding our reptile collection in the future to hopefully include geckos, bearded dragons, chamilions, and maybe turtles. Sounds like fun.
